What Sustainability Looks Like at Temperate

Responsible Manufacturing
We work with a small, ethical manufacturer who shares our values.
Real people who care about the craft and the environment.

Quality Materials Made to Last
Temperate wetsuits are made from Yamamoto Limestone Neoprene.
A petroleum-free alternative that is durable, flexible and warm.
Yamamoto is made using hydroelectric power, avoiding toxic by-products and reusing heat
from production for a lighter carbon footprint.

Zero Waste Initiative
Our manufacturer follows a zero-waste philosophy.
Offcuts from wetsuit making are upcycled into new neoprene items so they do not end up in landfill.

No Fast Fashion
We do not mass produce. Small batch releases only.
This keeps waste low, avoids unsold stock, and makes sure every suit exists because someone will use it.

Low Impact Packaging
Your suit arrives in plastic free packaging made from recyclable cardboard.
No unnecessary extras, just what is needed to protect your suit.

Ethical Practices
Fair wages for skilled makers are non-negotiable.
Caring for people is just as important as caring for our oceans.

At Temperate, our approach is simple: make less, make it well, and make it last.
Prioritising durability and looking after what we own helps reduce waste and resource use over time.
